Do you ever wonder what happens to senior thesis projects after they’re done?

So do we.

What if instead of disappearing into a drawer…

They were given a stage?

We would like to find out.

The Agora is a multifaceted, interdisciplinary collection of senior thesis projects.

The Swarthmore Agora Talks

The Agora, named after the Ancient Greek marketplace known for fostering intellectual exchange, is a multifaceted, interdisciplinary collection of senior thesis projects. The annual Agora Talks will consist of an event at which seniors present their projects (much like TedTalk lectures), followed by a reception that allows for the presenters and the audience to converse. These talks will then be archived on a website that documents the event and showcases their work in more detail. The Agora will serve to celebrate original thinking and academic diversity, enhance the senior thesis process, and connect senior projects and the campus community as a whole.

But every stage needs an audience, and that's where you come in.

Let's celebrate our passion for learning by learning from one another.

Do you know of a student that has done inspiring work in their senior year, who you think deserves an opportunity to share their work with the community? If so, please nominate them to speak at the Agora Talks.

If you would like to apply, please download and complete this application and email it to The deadline for applications is March 31st.
